DRAKHTHAR

The Counselor · The Chronicles of Drakhthar
Ten years building trust. Her voice is calm. Her mind, an abyss no one suspects.
Maren has spent ten years in Vhar-Kaz. Ten years as the most approachable counselor, the most reasonable, the one who always has a calm answer for every problem. In a place where tension between clans never lets up, her presence has been the oil that keeps the wheels from grinding.
No one questions her. And in the Drakhthar universe, that should be the first warning sign.
“The best lie is not the one that goes undetected. It is the one no one wants to detect.”
Maren slips out alone through the south gate at night. She has done it more than once. No one knows because no one looks that way at those hours. Or because those who know have chosen to say nothing. The line between those two possibilities is Maren's story in Book I.
Book I does not resolve the mystery of Maren. It is one of the threads the Drakhthar universe deliberately leaves open — a question the reader carries beyond the final page.
